Freixenet Reserva Real Brut is made with the classic Cava grape varieties Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, and ages for a minimum of 30 months in the bottle, which gives it complexity and finesse. It displays aromas of ripe white fruit, along with notes of pastry, honey, toasted nuts, and buttery nuances, typical of its long aging process. It is elegant, structured, and fresh, with fine, integrated bubbles, well-balanced fruity and toasty flavors, and a long, persistent, and refined finish.
This cava received its name because, according to the official information available, it was presented in 1987 during the visit of the King and Queen of Spain to the Freixenet winery. Following that visit, the use of the term "Real" was authorized for this cava, highlighting its special and high-end character within the Freixenet brand.
