Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old 75cl
The Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old is a unique extra brut cuvée created exclusively from Veuve Clicquot’s extensive collection of reserve wines, selected from historic vintages, giving it depth, complexity, and character. These reserve wines undergo a double aging: first in tanks on lees for several years, and then at least 3 years in the bottle before disgorgement, developing a silky texture, very fine bubbles, and refined balance. The typical blend of varieties is Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, and the very low dosage (≈3 g/L) enhances the wine’s natural purity and freshness. On the nose and palate, it offers an elegant and complex profile with fresh citrus, ripe white fruits, hints of pastry and toasted bread, accompanied by mineral and saline notes, finishing fresh, lively, and persistent, reflecting its distinctive and sophisticated character.
